Motorola Edge 60 Pro: Motorola has come back with a revitalized mid-range offering, and the Edge 60 Pro is making a confident push out of the gate. From its shocking design to its enormous battery and potent processor, it has value written all over it. Yet, as with any smartphone, it does have one easily perceptible compromise that might matter to some buyers.
Striking Design
Motorola Edge 60 Pro is distinctive with its quad-curved design made from leather-inspired and nylon-inspired materials. In spite of the plastic frame, it is robust with MIL-STD 810H certification and an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone comes in striking colours such as Pantone Dazzling Blue, Pantone Shadow, and Pantone Sparkling Grape. This phone is premium in hand. In comparison to its predecessor, the Edge 50 Pro, the look hasn’t differed significantly, but the enhanced finish makes it a suitable upgrade.
Excellent Performance
The Edge 60 Pro is fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition chipset accompanied by up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage under the hood. In practical usage, it competes with the likes of the iQOO Neo 10R and Nothing Phone 3a Pro. It even plays demanding games like BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile without any issues. The AnTuTu score of 1,440,382 positions it second just after the iQOO Neo 10R’s 1,476,651 but ahead of Nothing Phone 3a Pro’s 809,554.
Capable Cameras
Motorola has loaded this smartphone with a flexible camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, 50MP ultra-wide lens, and 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical and 50x digital zoom. Images are crisp, with very little saturation, and colors are precise during the day. The nighttime performance is also quite good with minimal noise and decent detail preservation. For selfies, a 50MP selfie camera delivers high-res images that can be uploaded to social media immediately.
Long Battery Life
The 6,000mAh battery is one of the phone’s major highlights. It supports 90W TurboPower fast charging. On average usage with 5G enabled, users can expect around 7 hours of screen-on time. Charging from 20 to 100 percent takes just over 36 minutes, which is faster than many of its competitors. In the PCMark battery test, it scored 8.45 hours, beating the Nothing Phone 3a Pro and coming close to the iQOO Neo 10R.
No Expandable Storage
Although the Edge 60 Pro has sufficient built-in storage of 256GB, it does not have a microSD card slot. This could be a point of contention for individuals who use expandable memory to store photos, videos, or documents. Without an option to add storage, some individuals may find this shortcoming significant, particularly in the long run.
