How much profit is there on an FD of Rs 5 lakh?
Looking at the math of the profit on investing in a 501 Days Special FD, if an average investor deposits Rs 5 lakh in an FD account, then at an interest rate of 7.80%, they will receive Rs 5.56 lakh upon maturity. This means they will earn Rs 55,900 in interest in 501 days. Meanwhile, a senior citizen’s deposit will increase by approximately Rs 60,000 based on an 8.30% interest rate, bringing the total amount to Rs 5.60 lakh.
