October 2026 Car Launches: October 2026 promises to be an exciting month for the Indian automotive market, with several popular cars set to launch in their facelifted avatars. Major manufacturers—including Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Skoda, Toyota, and Volkswagen—are preparing to introduce updated versions of their existing models featuring fresh designs and enhanced features. Five major facelifted cars are scheduled for launch in India this month. Let’s take a look at the launch schedule and the key highlights of these vehicles.

Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Facelift

The beginning of October holds special appeal for luxury car enthusiasts. Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to launch the updated Maybach S-Class in India on October 5, 2026. The most significant changes in the facelifted version are expected at the front, featuring a larger illuminated grille, redesigned headlamps, and new star-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs).

Inside the cabin, the Maybach S-Class is expected to retain a premium layout. It may feature a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch central touchscreen, and a dedicated 12.3-inch display for the front passenger.

Honda Elevate Facelift

The Honda Elevate facelift is expected to arrive on October 6. This update aims to make the mid-size SUV—already a player in the segment—more modern and feature-rich. Exterior updates may include a revised grille, updated LED lighting, new front and rear bumpers, and fresh alloy wheels.

Significant upgrades are also expected in the cabin. Features such as new upholstery, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen could be included.

No major changes are expected regarding the powertrain; the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is likely to be retained. It delivers approximately 119 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque and comes with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.

Skoda Slavia Facelift

The Skoda Slavia facelift is expected to be introduced in the Indian market on October 6, alongside the Honda Elevate. The new Slavia will feature updates to its exterior, cabin, and mechanical package. A key highlight of this facelift could be the introduction of a new 8-speed automatic gearbox paired with the 1.0-litre TSI engine.

The larger 1.5-litre TSI engine is expected to continue with the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. Inside the cabin, features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, and a rear-seat massage function (in select variants) may be offered.

Toyota Glanza Facelift

The Toyota Glanza facelift is expected to launch around October 14, 2026. Since the Glanza shares its platform and many components with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the facelift is likely to feature similar design and equipment updates.

The new Glanza is expected to sport revised front and rear styling, updated lighting elements, and new alloy wheels. Some changes and additional features may also be introduced in the cabin, though the car is expected to retain its practical hatchback character.

Regarding the engine, the current 1.2-litre petrol engine is likely to be retained; it generates approximately 82.9 hp of power and 112.4 Nm of torque. Transmission options are expected to remain the same, with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT on offer. A CNG version is also likely to remain part of the lineup following the facelift.

Volkswagen Virtus Facelift

The Volkswagen Virtus facelift is expected to arrive in late October, with a launch likely around October 25, 2026. Along with a refreshed exterior design, the new Virtus is expected to feature updates to its cabin and technology. The powertrain lineup is expected to remain largely unchanged, though a significant update to the gearbox combination could be in store. A new 8-speed automatic gearbox is expected to be paired with the 1.0-litre TSI engine, while the 1.5-litre TSI engine may continue with the 7-speed DSG.

Additionally, the updated Virtus could feature a 360-degree camera, revised infotainment software, and other convenience features. Volkswagen is expected to focus on making the sedan more modern and feature-rich while retaining its existing design identity.
