Recent updates from the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) have addressed the long-standing discussion regarding the deposit of PF interest for the year 2025-26 into members’ accounts. The government has reassured that the interest will be credited soon, and indeed, many individuals have reported receiving notifications confirming the arrival of the PF interest in their accounts through text messages.

If you have not yet received a notification, it is recommended to promptly verify your PF account status. EPFO members have been receiving messages indicating that the interest for the year 2025-26 has been successfully deposited into their PF accounts, with the credited date specified as March 31st.

Here are three ways to promptly verify your PF balance if you have not received the aforementioned message:

1. Access the portal:

– Visit the official online portal epfindia.gov.in and log in to the member passbook.

– Provide your UAN number and password when prompted.

– Fill in the captcha code accurately.

– Upon successful entry, a new page will display where you can view your PF account details by selecting your PF number from the dropdown list.

– Note that the entire process involves an OTP verification for security purposes.

If you don’t want to bother logging into the portal, you can use an even simpler method. Simply make a missed call from your registered mobile number to 9966044425. You will receive an SMS within seconds or minutes, informing you of your PF balance.

Check your PF balance using SMS

You can also check your PF account details through SMS. To do this, go to the message box on your registered mobile number, type “EPFOHO UAN NO. ENG,” and send an SMS to 7738299899. You will then receive your PF balance via SMS.
