The exam is one of the toughest in India, but one can overcome it under proper guidance and a will to work hard. UPSC Examinations
The UPSC usually conducts IAS, IPS, and other civil services examinations under the Government of India every year. This examination is held in three stages as follows:
1. Prelims – Preliminary Examination: The Preliminary examination consists of two papers of General Studies and CSAT.
2. Mains – Main Examination: These comprise nine papers including one essay paper, general studies papers and optional papers.
3. Interview or personality test: This is the last stage in the examination.
Eligibility and Age Limit
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
- General- 21 to 32 years
- OBC- 21 to 35 years
- SC/ST- 21 to 37 years
- Physically challenged- 21 to 42 years
How to Prepare?
1. Start with reading NCERT books- From class 6 to class 12.
2. Current Affairs- Next, the most important is reading newspapers daily and monthly magazines.
3. The Last Year Papers- For getting an idea of an exam.
4. Mock Tests- To be perfect in time management and confidence.
5. Note Making and Revising- This keeps the studies in hand for assistance in remembering those points.
6. Use Time Well- Draw up a timetable and arrange your study accordingly.
