Exam Pattern

The SSC CHSL 2026 skill/typing test consists of two parts. For Part A (DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’), candidates must achieve a speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour in 15 minutes. For Part B (LDC/JSA), candidates must complete a typing test in the language (Hindi or English) selected at the time of application, with a speed of 35 WPM (approximately 10,500 key depressions/hour) for English and 30 WPM (approximately 9,000 key depressions/hour) for Hindi.

The SSC CHSL recruitment process requires candidates to first pass a written examination (Tiers 1 and 2). Eligible candidates will then be called for a skill/typing test.
