Monsoon Update: The monsoon has retreated from the country, but some states are still experiencing rainfall. A low-pressure area persists over western Vidarbha and adjacent northern central Maharashtra. Rainfall is expected in many parts of the country during the Durga Puja festival. According to the Meteorological Department, a low-pressure area has formed in the Bay of Bengal, which may lead to rainfall in many areas.
According to the IMD, hefty rainfall is expected at some places in Saurashtra and Kutch on September 29th. Heavy rain is expected in many states of North India, Northeast India, West India, Central India, and South India in the coming days. The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rainfall in many areas of Mumbai on Sunday. Furthermore, the Meteorological Department also predicts heavy rainfall in Sikkim. Heavy rain is also expected in some parts of Jharkhand during Dussehra.
Rain Warning in Goa
The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of four days of heavy rainfall in Goa, from September 28th to October 1st. The IMD has issued a yellow alert. The Meteorological Department estimates that wind speeds could reach 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. Winds could reach 60 kilometers per hour in coastal areas.
Rain Expected in Bihar
Many parts of Bihar may experience thunderstorms and rain in the coming days. The Meteorological Department predicts that many parts of the state may remain overcast until October 3.
Rain Expected in Jharkhand
Heavy rain is expected in some parts of Jharkhand on the occasion of Dussehra. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in Giridih, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Deoghar, Jamtara, Dumka, Pakur, Sahibganj, and Godda.
Rain Warning in These States
According to the Meteorological Department, rain is likely in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on September 29 and 30. Apart from this, West Bengal and Sikkim may receive rain from October 2 to 4. There is an alert for heavy rain in western and eastern Madhya Pradesh on October 3 and 4.
