1st November Rule Change: The month of October ends in the next two days. Several rules will change starting on the first day of November. Under the new changes, account holders can now create up to 4 nominees for their bank accounts simultaneously. Several key features related to Aadhaar cards will change starting November 1st. Aadhaar users will now be able to update important information like their name, address, date of birth, and mobile number from the comfort of their homes. They will no longer need to visit an enrollment centre.
Under UIDAI’s new system, PANs will be automatically verified against passports, driving licenses, ration cards, and birth certificates. This will make the Aadhaar update process faster, easier, and more secure. Furthermore, Aadhaar-PAN linking is now mandatory. All PAN holders must link their Aadhaar by December 31, 2025, or their PAN will be deactivated from January 1, 2026.
New Fee System for Aadhaar Updates
Demographic Updates (Name, Address, Date of Birth, Mobile Number or Email): ₹75
Biometric Updates (Fingerprint, Eye Scanning, and Photo): ₹125
Document Updates: ₹75 at the centre, but online updates will be free until June 14th.
Aadhaar Print: ₹40
Home Enrollment Service: ₹700 for the first person and ₹350 for each additional person at the same address.
Starting November 1st, you can now change the name, address, date of birth, and mobile number on your Aadhaar card online from the comfort of your home. This will eliminate the need to visit an Aadhaar enrolment centre. UIDAI will perform linked verification with other government databases (such as PAN, passport, ration card, and birth certificate), reducing the need to upload documents or wait long periods.
This will reduce the hassle of extra travel, time, and documentation. Biometric updates (fingerprint and iris scans) will still require a visit to the centre. Also, make sure your mobile number and email are already linked.
