NEET Fees Refund: Following the cancellation of the NEET UG 2026 exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the fee refund process. The agency has clearly stated that candidates who paid exam fees will receive a refund. The agency will bear the entire cost of the NEET re-exam scheduled for June 21.

Therefore, students will not have to repay the application fee. Now, candidates will only need to update their bank account details correctly, after which the refund amount will be transferred directly to their account. The registration fee paid for the May 3 exam is now being refunded. The NTA will conduct the new exam at its own expense.

When will the NEET refund link be active?

The NTA had stated that the bank account update module would be made available by May 21, 2026. However, the refund link has not yet been activated.

Will any additional fees be required?
No, there will be no additional fees for this rescheduled exam. The agency will bear the entire cost of the NEET re-exam scheduled for June 21.

What details are required for a fee refund?
Students must update their bank account details. They must include the account to which they wish to receive the refund. If a student does not update their details, the previous details will remain final.

According to the NTA, a large number of candidates apply for the NEET exam every year. In such cases, the bank account of another person or centre is often added during the application process. This results in the refund not being delivered to the correct candidate. Therefore, the agency has allowed students to update their bank accounts. This will transfer the money directly to their accounts.

NEET UG 2026 candidates will receive a full refund. General category students will receive a refund of ₹1,700. Whereas, OBC and EWS candidates will receive Rs 1600, and SC, ST, and PwD candidates will receive Rs 1000 as a refund.

When will the re-examination take place?

The NTA will conduct the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 21, 2026. The exam will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.

How will NEET candidates receive a refund?
Candidates will need to visit the portal and enter the correct bank account number, IFSC code, and account holder’s name.

After the information is verified, the refund amount will be transferred directly to the bank account.

The agency may soon release a complete timeline for the refund.
