NEET Paper Leak 2026: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate)—NEET UG 2026—is scheduled to be conducted on May 3 at designated examination centres across the country. The examination is being held today in 552 designated cities nationwide. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has completed all preparations regarding the exam.
Biometric verification will be conducted for all students at their respective centres. The NTA has also issued a notification sharing comprehensive details regarding this biometric process. A total of 22.79 lakh students have registered for this examination. Even before the exam is completed, reports of a paper leak are circulating on certain social media platforms; these reports are entirely baseless.

NTA Declares Paper Leak Reports as Fake
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has categorically termed the reports regarding a paper leak as completely fake. Furthermore, students have been advised not to place their trust in any such information. They should consider only the details shared by the NTA as authentic.
Exam Date, Timing, and Shift
The NEET UG examination will be conducted in a pen-and-paper mode on May 3, 2026. The exam will be held on a single day and in a single shift. This time, the NEET-UG examination is being organised across 552 cities within the country and at 14 international centres. A total of 5,432 centres have been designated for the examination. The exam will run from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
No Entry After 1:30 PM
For students appearing for the NEET UG examination, the gates to the centres will open at 11:00 AM and will remain open until 1:30 PM. No student will be permitted to enter the centre after this time. Therefore, students must be present at the centre between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM without fail.
Exam Pattern
In the NEET UG 2026 examination, students will be asked 180 multiple-choice questions. Students will be allotted 3 hours to attempt the question paper. Students will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer. Please note that there is also negative marking in this paper; therefore, students should refrain from guessing. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The question paper will carry a total of 720 marks. The paper will consist of 45 questions from Physics, 25 questions from Chemistry, and 90 questions from Biology (Zoology and Botany).
