MMMUT Gorakhpur : The screening for admission into B. Tech program for Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, is a decisive factor for the next admission into the batch of 2025-2026. Through the recently announced inaugural cut-off list, a total of 1,189 engineering seats have been made available by the university, out of which 1,086 are given against the candidates from Uttar Pradesh, and 103 are given outside the state.
Much glory has come this admission season, wherein MMMUT received a total of 4,039 applications for the different undergraduate courses in engineering. The most preferred branch is CSE, with 255 seats, which is the highest across all streams; the remaining branches are Electronics and Communication Engineering (180 seats) Electrical (120), Civil (120), and Information Technology (120).
Admission at MMMUT takes place wholly based on ranks in JEE Main 2025. For the highly sought CSE branch, home state candidates’ cutoffs lie between 18,091-62,179, while for outside candidates, it is hovering around 40,229-66,331. There is a wave for computing-oriented courses crossing all the tracks.
During the first round of seat allocation, 285 students received their first choice of branch, whereas 659 managed to flutter into one of their top three choices. The statistics, therefore, appear to show a constrained exercise in which merit and preferences have not been overly tilted in favour of one or the other.
Candidates allotted a seat in this round ought to get their documents verified by July 2, 2025. The University has reiterated that the candidate will lose the seat if document verification is not done. Therefore, it will be of utmost importance to visit the official website of MMMUT to check the status and upload the documents.
The current cut-off list is a very crucial yardstick for this admission cycle. This lock-up will work for most of the interested hopefuls, but there is hope for some other candidates as far as the next round of counselling will take place. More lists are expected after these, and all hopeful candidates should stay as alert as ever for updates concerning any next list.
