KVS Admission Result 2026: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has initiated the admission process for Class 1 and Bal Vatika for the academic session 2026-27. The first merit list for these admissions is now scheduled to be released on April 8 and 9, 2026. Parents who have applied on behalf of their children are eagerly awaiting the release of this list. In addition to Class 1, KVS will also publish the first merit list for Bal Vatika admissions. This list will be made available on the official website.

KVS Admission 2026: How to Check the Merit List?

First, visit the official website of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
Click on the “KVS Admission 2026” or “Class 1 / Balvatika Merit List” link.
Select your respective Region and School.
The merit list will now appear on your screen.
Search for your child’s name or application number within the list.
Download or print the merit list for future reference.

How is the Merit List Prepared?
Admissions to Kendriya Vidyalayas are conducted through a completely transparent process. This process strictly adheres to established reservation norms. Selection is carried out via a lottery system.
Parents of students whose names appear in the first merit list are required to visit the respective school within the stipulated timeframe to complete the admission formalities. Submission of the necessary documents is mandatory for this purpose.

What to do if your child’s name does not appear?
If a student’s name does not appear in the first list, there is absolutely no need to panic. KVS subsequently releases second and third merit lists, offering further opportunities for selection. Admissions in KVS are granted based on priority service categories.
