Rs 30,000 crore approved on LPG

According to the information, the government had approved Rs 30,000 crore to maintain the low price of LPG. The government has given this amount for the loss of oil companies so that they can sell cylinders at cheaper prices. Apart from this, a budget of Rs 42,000 crore was also passed for the development of technical education institutions.

More than 10 crore beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Yojana

The central government launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in May 2016 to provide free LPG connections to women of poor families. So far, more than 10 crore women across the country have availed the benefits of this scheme.

This much subsidy will be available per cylinder

According to the statement issued by the government, during the financial year 2025-26, the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana will get a subsidy of Rs 300 on 9 gas cylinders per year. If someone takes a 5 kg cylinder, they will also be provided a subsidy. The total expenditure of the government on this scheme will be around Rs 12,000 crore. Let us tell you that India imports about 60 percent of its LPG requirement. Therefore, it has become very important to give subsidies to the common people.
