BPSC AEDO Exam Postponed: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed the AEDO (Assistant Education Development Officer) competitive examination. A notification was issued a short while ago stating that “the written examination for the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) under advertisement number 87/2025, scheduled to be held from January 10, 2026, to January 16, 2026 (excluding January 14, 2026), has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.” The new exam date will be announced very soon.
Exam Pattern
The examination will be conducted in three phases. Candidates will be asked 100 multiple-choice questions, each worth 100 marks, in each phase. Each paper will be two hours long. There will also be negative marking of one-third of a mark for each incorrect answer. Candidates must secure a minimum of 30 per cent marks in the General Language paper.
All candidates appearing for the exam are advised to download their exam schedule from the official website bpsc.bihar.gov.in. Candidates are also advised to check the official website regularly for the latest updates.
The recruitment includes 374 posts for the unreserved category, 93 posts for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 150 posts for Scheduled Castes (SC), 10 posts for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 168 posts for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), 112 posts for Backward Classes (BC), and 28 posts reserved for women of Backward Classes.

Selection Process
There will be a single-stage written examination. There will be no interview. The written examination will consist of objective-type questions. There will be negative marking. One-third of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
