MCC. Important news has emerged for medical students across the country. If you have appeared for the NEET PG 2025 exam, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued an important notice regarding this year’s counselling process. This notice is specifically for candidates who wish to apply under the NRI or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) category or have recently changed their Indian citizenship to NRI status.

The MCC has clarified that such candidates must submit the required documents within the stipulated deadline to prove their eligibility for the NRI quota. This news release provides information about this important notice.

Deadline for Document Submission
Candidates must submit all required documents via email between October 25, 2025, 10:00 AM and October 28, 2025, 12:00 PM. The documents must be sent in a single email to [email protected]. The MCC has clearly stated that documents sent after the deadline will not be accepted.
Required Documents
According to the new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of External Affairs, candidates must have the following documents ready. Details of these are provided here.
- NEET-PG Admit Card and Score Card – Mandatory for examination and result confirmation.
- Proof of NRI status of guardian or relative – Valid passport, visa/residence permit, OCI or PIO card (if applicable), and NRI certificate issued by the Indian Embassy.
- Proof of Relationship – Document issued by the competent revenue authority confirming the relationship between the candidate and the sponsor.
- Affidavit – Stating that the NRI relative will bear all or part of the candidate’s education expenses. A copy of the bank passbook is also required.
- 10th and 12th-grade mark sheets and passing certificates
- Birth certificate
- Candidate’s or sponsor’s passport (optional)

Counselling will be delayed due to these reasons.
The MCC has also clarified in its notice that candidates who do not adhere to the prescribed guidelines and deadlines may be barred from participating in the NEET PG 2025 counselling process.
Therefore, all NRI/OCI candidates are urged to complete their documents on time and submit them to the designated email address.
