E3 Trion Electric Scooter: Price and Variants

With a starting price around the ₹1 lakh mark, the E3 Trion appears to be a highly competitive offering. The entry-level C1 variant has been launched at ₹99,999. The C1x is priced at ₹1.10 lakh, while the top-end C2 variant costs ₹1.20 lakh. These are introductory, ex-showroom prices for Bengaluru.

The company has now opened pre-bookings in Bengaluru. In the near future, the Trion will be made available in other cities and markets as well; while the launch began in Bengaluru, E3 has its sights set on the broader electric scooter market.

E3 Trion Electric Scooter: Battery and Range

Regarding the battery, the E3 Trion is offered with two options. The C1 variant comes with a 2.3kWh removable LFP battery, whereas the C1x and C2 feature a larger 3kWh fixed LFP battery. All three variants utilise a PMSM hub motor.

In terms of range, the C1x is claimed to deliver an IDC range of 165km on a single charge. The official range for the C1 has not yet been revealed. Meanwhile, the C2 is positioned as the more powerful variant in terms of performance; it boasts a claimed top speed of 82 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 6 seconds. E3 Trion Electric Scooter: 14-inch Wheels and Storage

Another highlight of the Trion is its 14-inch wheels. Wheels of this size are not yet very common among electric scooters in India. Larger wheels can help provide better stability on poor or uneven roads.

Regarding storage, E3 states that the Trion offers a total storage capacity of up to 52 litres. This includes an under-seat compartment, a floorboard area, and a glovebox. However, the company has not yet specified the exact capacity of the under-seat storage alone. Such ample storage could prove very useful for daily use.

E3 Trion Electric Scooter AI Features

The Trion’s biggest selling point is its AI-based technology package. E3 describes it as India’s first AI-powered intelligent electric scooter. It features a system called ‘E3 CommandCenter,’ which monitors the vehicle’s condition by utilising data from both the scooter and the cloud.

This system can provide information such as predictive diagnostics and service alerts. The company claims that its ‘AI HealthScan’ feature can perform a diagnostic check on the scooter in just 10 seconds. AI ‘Digital Twin’ technology has also been incorporated for the battery.

E3 Trion Electric Scooter 5-inch Display

The E3 Trion comes with a 5-inch LCD display. Additionally, the company’s ‘TripSense’ connected system allows a smartphone to function as a secondary display, enabling the rider to view more information through their phone.

Furthermore, the scooter is equipped with dual-projector LED headlights and LED taillights. It has an IP67 rating for weather protection, indicating the company has ensured the vehicle is well-protected against rain and water exposure.
