Digital Life Certificate: If you are a pensioner, this news could be critical for you. Pensioners are required to submit a ‘Life Certificate’ every year to ensure the continued disbursement of their pensions. Previously, pensioners had to visit a bank or a government office for this purpose; however, they can now complete this process from the comfort of their homes using a mobile phone.
The government has introduced a digital system for pensioners, allowing them to generate a ‘Digital Life Certificate’ through ‘Aadhaar Face Authentication’ by scanning their faces. In this process, the mobile phone’s camera is used for facial recognition. Once verified, the Digital Life Certificate is generated. To do so, you can download the ‘Aadhaar FaceRD’ app and the ‘Jeevan Pramaan Face’ app.
How to generate a Digital Life Certificate using a mobile phone:
Once you have downloaded the ‘Aadhaar FaceRD’ app and the ‘Jeevan Pramaan Face’ app, follow these simple steps:
First, open the ‘Jeevan Pramaan Face’ app on your mobile.
Next, enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number.
Complete the verification process by entering the OTP received on your mobile phone.
Then, provide the required details, including your PPO (Pension Payment Order) number, bank name, Aadhaar number, and mobile number.
Thereafter, open the front camera of your mobile phone, position your face in front of it, and follow the instructions provided within the app.
Once the facial verification is successful, your Digital Life Certificate will be generated.
You can then visit the official ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ website to download your Digital Life Certificate in PDF format.
