Vande Bharat Express: Getting to Bihar for Diwali and Chhath celebrations is about to become much more convenient! With significant congestion on routes connecting Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, along with lengthy waiting periods for standard train services, Indian Railways has unveiled a brand-new 16-coach Vande Bharat Festival Special train connecting New Delhi and Patna. This modern train will operate 18 round trips throughout the festival season, launching on October 16, 2026. Traveling at high speed through Aligarh, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, and Buxar, the journey takes just 11 hours and 5 minutes. Ticket prices are Rs 4695 for executive seating and Rs 2615 for AC seating.
As shared by Saraswati Chandra, Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway, this service will complete 18 trips in both directions during designated dates throughout October and November.
