EPFO Update: Great news for millions of EPF account holders across the nation! The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has introduced a new centralized portal aimed at enhancing its digital services. Once this portal is fully operational, it will be much simpler to file PF claims, check balances, and access other services. If you’ve been struggling with the hassle of visiting multiple websites to manage your PF claims or check their status, relief is on the way. The launch of this centralized portal by EPFO will make many PF-related tasks quicker and easier than ever before.
All services will now be consolidated in one location
EPFO members can now log into the Unified Member Portal to conveniently view their PF balances, track the status of their claims, and access nearly all essential services in one spot. Previously, this process required navigating through various portals or systems, which often led to complications.
EPFO has also revamped its previous system. In the past, each regional office functioned independently. If a member’s case involved another office, the back-and-forth file transfers would cause delays in processing claims. With the new centralized system in place, any EPFO office across the country can now manage member services. This change is anticipated to accelerate claim settlements and reduce long waiting periods.

Another noteworthy aspect of the new portal is the automation of many processes. Tasks that once required manual review by officials will now be completed more swiftly through the system. This enhancement will expedite the processing of PF claims and lower the chances of claim rejections.
The portal will also clearly display the requirements for each type of claim. This will allow members to know whether they are eligible for that claim before applying. This could also reduce the number of claim rejections due to incorrect information or incomplete documents. The EPFO also stated that PF interest for the financial year 2025-26 will be deposited into accounts through this new system. Necessary verification is currently underway. Once completed, interest totaling approximately Rs 1.44 lakh crore will be transferred to more than 34 crore accounts next week.
