These people cannot open an account

To open an account under this scheme, the age of anyone must be 10 years. But the benefit of insurance will be available only to people between 18 and 59 years.

So those who are poor will be given priority in this scheme. Whether they are from rural area or urban area. Let us tell you that no citizen working in the central government or state government will be able to open an account in this scheme. Even retired employees from the central or state government will not be able to open an account in this scheme. People who pay tax also cannot open an account in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.

This is how the account can be opened

To open an account in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, you will have to apply by going to your bank. You can apply by going to any branch of your nearest bank.
