The government gave a lot of information.
A shocking answer has been given to the question asked of the government in the Rajya Sabha. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary informed that on 17 January and 17 February 2025, letters were sent to the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Personnel and Training and all the states to give inputs on the Terms of Reference. He said that inputs are still being received.
So the official notification will not be issued in time. The Union Minister clarified that the chairman of the commission will be appointed only after the notification. On being asked about the time limit for the formation of the commission, he said that the notification will be issued in time. Then the appointment will be done after that.

When was it formed?
The Modi government at the centre had approved the formation of the 8th Pay Commission in January 2025. The commission will review the salary and pension structure of central government employees and pensioners. In this, different allowances and facilities will also be assessed. According to some experts, it is likely to be between 1.92 to 2.86 in the 8th Pay Commission. The higher the fitment factor, the greater the increase can be seen in the salary.
