Subhadra Yojana– Not only the central government, the governments of different states of India also bring different types of schemes for the women of their states. Recently, the Odisha government has started the Subhadra Yojana for women.
Under this scheme, there is a provision to give 10 thousand rupees every year to the women of the state. Women get the benefit of this scheme of the Odisha government. The purpose of this scheme is to make women empowered and self-reliant in Odisha. The Odisha government launched this scheme on 17 December 2024, i.e. on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Under this scheme, the Odisha government gives Rs 10 to women every year. Which is given in two installments of five thousand each. The eligibility criteria for Subhadra Yojana have been decided by the Odisha government. Women get benefits only under that scheme. According to the scheme, women between 21 and 60 years of age get benefits under the scheme. However, not all women get it.
Only those women who are ration card holders under the National Food Security Act or State Food Security Act get the benefit of this scheme. Apart from this, to get the benefit of the scheme, the family income of the women should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh.
Applications can be made in the scheme both online and offline. For online, one has to visit Subhadra portal. Whereas for offline, one can apply by visiting Anganwadi Centre and Urban Local Body Office or Common Service Centre.
Under this scheme, eligible women of the state will be provided financial assistance of Rs 10,000 per year, which will be given directly to their bank accounts in two installments of Rs 5,000-Rs 5,000. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched ‘Subhadra Yojana’ with the aim of empowering women in Odisha on his birthday on September 17, 2024.
