Vande Bharat Sleeper: Indian Railways has achieved another major milestone in the development of high-speed trains. The new Vande Bharat sleeper train created history by reaching a maximum speed of 180 kilometers per hour during a trial run. This successful test was conducted on the Sawai Madhopur-Kota-Nagda section, and a video of it is rapidly going viral on social media. The Railway Minister has described it as a new generation train and a major step forward for Indian Railways.

Railway Minister shared the video

On Tuesday evening, the Railway Minister shared information on the social media platform X, stating that the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train was tested under the supervision of the Railway Safety Commissioner. He said that the train, running at a speed of 180 kmph on the Kota-Nagda section, demonstrates the strength of the new generation rail technology developed in India. This trial not only proved the speed capability of the train, but also validated its modern design and safety standards.

The technical prowess of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is clearly visible in a video shared by the Railway Minister. During a trial run, as the train sped along the tracks at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour, an employee in the cabin is seen recording the video. The video also shows four glasses filled with water placed directly in front of the speedometer inside the train cabin.

The most important thing is that despite such high speeds, not a single drop of water spilled from any of the glasses. The video clearly shows that the speedometer is showing a speed of 180 kmph, yet the train appears completely stable and balanced. This scene showcases the advanced technology, improved suspension system, and smooth running capability of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, which has been designed to be safer and more comfortable for passengers.

In this video, it can be clearly seen that the speedometer in the train cabin has a range of 0 to 200 kilometers per hour. During the recording, the speedometer appears to be fixed at 180 kilometers per hour. Remarkably, even at such high speeds, the three glasses of water inside the train remain completely still and show no movement. This approximately 24-second video clip was also shared by the Railway Minister.

During the trial run, the train’s speed, safety standards, and ride quality were meticulously evaluated. The entire test was conducted under the supervision of Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety, Janak Kumar Garg. Following the successful trial, these Vande Bharat sleeper rakes will now be available for passenger travel.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will have a total of 16 coaches, including both sleeper and AC coaches. Comfortable berths have been designed for passenger convenience. Being a semi-high-speed train, it features an upgraded suspension system, significantly reducing jolts and vibrations during travel. Passengers will enjoy superior comfort in sleeper coaches, even at high speeds.

The train also features state-of-the-art amenities such as automatic doors, modern toilet systems, fire safety equipment, CCTV surveillance, and a digital passenger information system. The railways says the Vande Bharat Sleeper will provide passengers with a safe, comfortable, and international-class travel experience.
