Navratri marks the start of India’s festival season. Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath Puja follow. At these festivals, people who are studying or working overseas come home, which makes it hard to find train tickets. There are long lines at train ticket booths. Many people’s unbooked train tickets even cause them to miss festivals with their families. The government responded by launching the UTS app. People can buy train tickets from the comfort of their homes with this app. Let us now explore the UTS app and how to use it for buying tickets.
UTS app: what is it?
The Indian Railways’ official smartphone app is called UTS, or Unreserved Ticketing System. Passengers can reserve their season, platform, and unreserved (public) tickets using this app without having to wait in line. CRIS (Centre for Railway Information Systems) created the app.

Just so you know, this software is available on the Apple software Store for iPhone users and the Google Play Store for Android users.
Let us now examine the complete procedure for buying tickets:
Step 1: Download the UTS app to your smartphone in order to avoid standing in line at the railway ticket desk.
Step 2: Register by providing the data you need and your mobile number.
Step 3: You have to set a password after registering. Next, enter your user ID and password to access the app.
Step 4: Click the “Book Ticket” option if you like to make a booking after logging in. Enter your destination after that.
Step 5: Next, send the money. The ticket will be digitally credited to your account upon completion of the payment.
