Through a single click, a total of ₹200.71 crore was successfully disbursed to the people in the form of pensions. Addressing the beneficiaries virtually on this occasion, the Chief Minister made a significant statement: “The government stands firmly with the public in every situation.” During his address, he clearly emphasised that the pension is not merely a form of financial assistance, but rather a bond of trust between the government and those in need.
Over 3.3 Million People Benefit
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav announced that, under the various social security pension schemes administered by the state government, pension amounts have been deposited into the accounts of 3,345,231 beneficiaries. This group includes the elderly, widows, abandoned women, unmarried women, and persons with disabilities. Each beneficiary has received a monthly payment of ₹600.
CM Mohan Yadav Makes a Significant Statement
The Chief Minister stated that the government is working with utmost sensitivity toward the welfare of the poor, destitute, and vulnerable sections of society. He further remarked that this pension amount serves as more than just a means to cover daily expenses; it also provides a foundation for living a life of dignity and self-respect.
The government is committed to ensuring that assistance reaches every eligible individual promptly and without any discrimination. Furthermore, Mohan Yadav noted that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both the Central and State governments are working collaboratively to strengthen social security frameworks. Continuous monitoring is being undertaken to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive their pension benefits regularly.
Focus on Social Security to Continue in the Budget
The Chief Minister also informed that a provision of ₹2,857 crore has been allocated for social security schemes within the budget for the financial year 2026–27. According to him, these schemes have brought about positive changes in the lives of lakhs of people across the state and have also instilled a sense of economic security.
According to officials, pensions were disbursed to 62,594 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Daughters’ Guardian Pension Scheme; 77,120 beneficiaries under the Scheme for the Mentally Challenged and Multi-Disabled; and 3,205,517 beneficiaries under the Comprehensive Social Security Pension Scheme.
