What is UAN?

For your information, let us tell you that the full name of UAN is Universal Account Number. It is issued by the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). UAN is a 12 digit number. Every employee is given UAN and everyone has a unique UAN. For your information, let us tell you that if you have worked in different companies, then your new PF account can be created, but the UAN will remain the same. All PF accounts will be linked to the same UAN.

How to find out UAN?

Now the question arises that what to do if you do not know your UAN number? So you do not need to panic at all. You can easily find out your UAN by visiting the official website of EPFO. For this, only your mobile number, Aadhaar or other basic details are required.

Follow these steps to know your UAN

Step 1: Go to the official website of EPFO. After this click on the Services option given above.
Step 2: Select the For Employees option from here.
Step 3: Now click on Member UAN/Online Services given in the Services section.
Step 4: On the new page, you will see the Important Links section below the login window on the right side.
Step 5: From this, click on Know Your UAN.
Step 6: A new window will open, enter your mobile number and captcha code, then click on Request OTP.
Step 7: Enter the OTP received on your mobile. Now enter your name, date of birth, Aadhaar number and captcha.
Step 8: Finally click on Show My UAN. After this your UAN number will appear on your screen.
