Changes in traffic rules on Jaipur-Dausa highway. New rules have been in effect from the first day of October. The rules are to ensure safety on the road. To the lives safe, the transport department issued speed limits for vehicles.

According to the Transport Department, different speed limits have been prescribed for all categories of vehicles in this notification. The maximum speed limit for heavy vehicles (trolleys) has been kept at 50 kilometres per hour.

Speed limits set for different vehicles:

Trucks and other heavy vehicles will be able to run at a maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour.

The same limit will apply to light and heavy vehicles i.e. 60 kilometers per hour.

Rules for Passengers and Light Vehicles

Giving information, Regional Transport Officer, Jaipur (II) Dharmendra Kumar said that the speed limit for passenger and light vehicles has also been fixed separately.

Speeding on the National Highway often leads to accidents. Traffic pressure is also steadily increasing on the Manoharpur-Dausa section. Therefore, setting speed limits for different vehicle categories will ensure the safety of passengers and pedestrians.

This notification also clarifies that this arrangement is temporary. This speed limit will remain in effect until the Manoharpur-Dausa section of National Highway No. NH-148 is converted into a four-lane divided carriageway. Once the four-lane section is completed, the speed limit will be reviewed again and new regulations will be implemented as needed.

Keep these things in mind

Speeding poses a danger not only to drivers but also to other road users. Violators will be fined and subject to other penalties.

This move to set speed limits for vehicles on NH-148 is considered important for road safety. By setting different speed limits for different vehicles, the government has made it clear that road safety is possible only through disciplined traffic. In the future, with the construction of four lanes, traffic will become even smoother and safer.
