Mahila Samman Savings Certificate Scheme (MSSC)

The Mahila Samman Savings Certificate Scheme was launched to empower women financially. It’s a savings plan where women can invest and earn decent returns. The scheme offers an interest rate of 7.5 percent, and women can invest up to Rs 2 lakh for a period of 2 years. Just a heads up, the deadline to apply for this scheme is March 31, 2025.

 

LIC Insurance Sakhi Yojana

The LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana aims to promote self-reliance among women. This program provides training for women to become LIC agents, along with a monthly stipend of up to Rs 7,000. Even women who have completed 10th grade can apply. After three years of training, they can take on the role of LIC agents.

Lakhpati Didi Scheme

With the Lakhpati Didi scheme, the government offers interest-free loans to women looking to start their own businesses. Women can receive loans of up to Rs 5 lakh, with the goal of fostering self-reliance among them.
