Subhadra Yojana: After forming the government in Odisha, the Bharatiya Janata Party is running a special scheme for women. This scheme is named ‘Subhadra Yojana’, named after Goddess Subhadra, the younger sister of Lord Jagannath. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this scheme on 17 September 2024, on the occasion of his birthday.

Know the necessary conditions and eligibility of Subhadra Yojana

To apply for this scheme, the woman must be a native of Odisha! Only women between the ages of 21 years to 60 years can apply for this scheme. The name of the woman should be linked to the ration card under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) or the State Food Security Scheme (SFSS). To avail of the benefits of this scheme, the family income of the woman should not exceed ₹ 2.50 lakh. If you fulfill these conditions, then Subhadra Yojana is made for you.

Who will not be able to avail the benefits of this scheme

Except for the ward member or councillor, elected public representatives in any urban local body or Panchayati Raj institution will not be able to avail the benefits of this scheme. If you pay income tax, then you will not get the benefit of this scheme. If you get a pension of ₹ 1500 per month or ₹ 18000 or more annually under any government scheme, then you cannot apply for this scheme.

If you have been a former or current MLA or MP, then you cannot apply for this scheme. If you are availing any scholarship, then this scheme is not for you. The government wants to ensure that the benefits of this scheme reach only the women who need them.

Which documents will be required for the application

To apply for Subhadra Yojana, you will need an Aadhaar card, passport-size photo, birth certificate, residence certificate, bank details, and caste certificate. Along with this, you should also have your mobile number and email ID. Keep all these documents ready while applying so that you do not have to face any kind of problem.

Know when and how the money will reach your account

Through this scheme, ₹ 10,000 is sent to the account of eligible women in two installments. This scheme has been started for 5 years. In this way, eligible women of this scheme will get a total financial assistance of ₹ 50,000. For this, the state government has allocated a budget of ₹ 55,825 crores. This amount will help women to start their own business and become financially self-reliant.
