Following this, RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, has now pulled off a major masterstroke just two days before the elections.
He has promised to deposit ₹30,000 directly into women’s accounts if he forms the government. This money will be deposited into women’s accounts under the Mai Behen Yojana (Main Behen Yojana). This means the full amount for one year will be deposited into their accounts on January 14, 2026. The first phase of elections is scheduled for November 6, so Tejashwi Yadav has made this announcement to woo women.

Tejashwi Yadav, the Chief Ministerial candidate for the Grand Alliance, held a press conference and made a major announcement for women. He stated that under the Mai Behen Yojana, the entire amount for one year will be deposited into their accounts in one go. This means that Rs 30,000 will be transferred to women’s accounts. This amount will be released on January 14, 2025.
Tejaswi Yadav has also made a significant promise to employees. He stated that employees’ postings will be fixed within a maximum distance of 70 kilometres from their home district. This will reduce inconvenience to employees and their families.
During this period, he has also taken significant steps in the interest of farmers. Farmers will be provided free electricity for irrigation. He stated that currently the state government charges farmers 55 paise per unit, but if his government is formed, he will bear the entire cost. Meaning, electricity will be free.
When will the Bihar election results be declared?
The results of the Bihar Assembly elections will be declared on November 14, 2025. Voting will take place in the first phase on November 6 and in the second phase on November 11. Voting will be held for 121 seats in the first phase and 122 seats in the second phase. Election campaigning for the first phase will completely cease at 5 pm on Tuesday.
