Ration Card e-KYC: The government of India is currently running many schemes to provide facilities for its citizens. The central government is running many schemes for the poor sections, women and farmers, which are benefiting crores of people in the country. Many people in India are dependent on the government even for food. Under the National Food Security Act, the Government of India provides free rations to these people. At the same time, the government also provides rations to many people at nominal rates.

If you are a ration card holder, you should get e-KYC done immediately. Because if you are negligent in this, your name can be removed from the ration card. Ration card holders can do e-KYC till April 30. Contact the ration shopkeeper for e-KYC. E-KYC is being done by setting up camps at many places.

 e-KYC is mandatory

E-KYC has been made mandatory to avail the services related to the ration card. E-KYC of ration card holders is being done rapidly in Ramna block of Garhwa district. 70 percent of ration card holders have been e-KYCed.

So many people have not done e-KYC.

The work of getting e-KYC of cardholders was started in the year 2024. So far, 10 lakh 19 thousand 242 people have got their e-KYC done, but still 3 lakh 15 thousand 377 people have not got e-KYC done. If you do not get e-KYC done, you may be deprived of a free ration starting next month.

How to get e-KYC done?

E-KYC of the ration card is very easy and free. To get e-KYC done, the cardholder member and the head must go to the ration shop. After reaching there, inform the ration dealer that you must get your ration card’s e-KYC done. The important thing to note is that you must take along the ration card, its photocopy and a copy of the Aadhar card. The ration dealer will complete the e-KYC by taking your fingerprint. This process is entirely free.
