PM Kisan Yojana : When will the 22nd payment of PM Kisan be made? Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to unveil the country’s economic budget on February 1st. This year, both the general public and farmers are looking forward to the budget with high hopes. Farmers are asking for a boost in the amount they receive from the PM Kisan Yojana. Given the rising inflation, Rs 2,000 feels quite insufficient. This isn’t the first time farmers have made this request during the budget. Previously, in 2024, the Parliamentary Standing Committee had called for an increase in the scheme’s amount to Rs 12,000.
Will farmers see an increase in their payments in February?
Even if the government responds positively to farmers’ requests in the budget, the amount due under the PM Kisan Yojana in February won’t be raised. Farmers are expected to receive the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan Yojana in February. So, even if an increase is announced on February 1st, it will take time to notify and implement it. Thus, it’s quite unlikely that the increased amount will be available in February.
When can we expect the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Yojana?
The 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was disbursed on November 19th. Since then, there has been a lot of speculation that the 22nd installment might come in the last week of February. However, no official word has been given on this yet. Last year, in 2025, the PM Kisan installment also arrived in the last week of February. Therefore, it’s thought that PM Modi might visit Kerala in February to announce the release of the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan scheme.
These farmers will not get money
If you want the amount of PM Kisan Yojana, then you will have to follow its rules. According to PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, both husband and wife cannot avail the benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. If anyone does so, then the government will declare him as fraud and recover the amount from him. Apart from this, if someone in the farmer family pays tax, then he will not get the benefit of this scheme. That is, if either the husband or the wife has paid income tax last year, then they will not get the benefit of this scheme.
