A very important and relieving news has come out for our food providers associated with Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana). Under this ambitious scheme, eligible farmers are provided financial assistance of ₹ 6,000 every year, which is transferred directly to their bank accounts in three equal installments.
So far 19 installments have been released, and there is every possibility of the 20th installment being released in June 2025. However, to avail of this installment, farmers have to complete some extremely important tasks on time, otherwise their amount may get stuck.
Why the 20th installment can come in June
If we look at the installment pattern released so far, the amount is transferred at an interval of every four months. The previous, i.e. 19th installment came in February 2025, so there is every possibility of the 20th installment coming in June 2025. Although its official announcement has not been made yet, farmers should keep their preparations complete.
3 important tasks to get the installment
Farmers have to complete the following three tasks immediately to get the benefit of the 20th installment without any interruption:
1. Aadhaar linking is very important
What to do
Farmers have to link their bank account with their Aadhaar card.
Why it is important
Without linking, the installment money will not be transferred directly to your account under DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). The government has made it mandatory for transparency and to deliver the money to the right beneficiary.
How to do
You can easily complete this work by visiting your bank branch. Some banks also provide the facility of online linking.
2. Land Verification is mandatory
What to do
Verification of land of farmers is necessary to get the benefit under the scheme.
Why it is important
In this, it is seen whether the land is cultivable or not and whether the farmer owns that land. If verification is not done, the installment may stop.
How to do
For this, you have to contact your local agriculture department or the concerned revenue office. They will guide you in this process.
3. Don’t forget to get e-KYC done
What to do
It is mandatory for all farmers to get their e-KYC done.
Why it is important
It authenticates the identity of the farmer and ensures that the benefits of the scheme are being received by the right person. If this process is not completed, the installment can also be stopped.
How to do
E-KYC can be done by visiting PM Kisan Portal (pmkisan.gov.in) or by visiting your nearest Common Service Center (CSC). It is a simple and quick process.
What will happen if these things are not done
If farmers do not complete these three important tasks on time, their 20th installment will definitely get stuck. The government has emphasized these requirements many times, and non-compliant farmers have faced problems in previous installments as well.
