PM Kisan Yojana: Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a great scheme of the government being run for crores of farmer families of the country. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is sent directly to the bank accounts of eligible farmers every year, so that they can get help in the expenses related to farming. So far, 19 installments of this scheme have successfully reached the farmers and the beneficiaries are now eagerly waiting for the 20th installment.

However, many times some farmers are not able to take advantage of this scheme continuously even after wanting it, because their installments get stopped due to some mistakes. If you want your 20th installment to come to your account without any interruption, then it is very important to avoid these four major mistakes.

The central government has made some rules mandatory to bring transparency in PM Kisan Yojana and to deliver benefits to the right beneficiaries. Your installment can be stopped for not following these rules. Now let’s know about those four main mistakes.

E-KYC is mandatory

Under the PM Kisan Yojana, getting e-KYC done has now been made mandatory for all beneficiaries. If you have not got your e-KYC done yet, then your next installments may stop. You can complete your e-KYC by visiting the PM Kisan portal or by biometric method at the nearest Common Service Center.

Land records not updated

The benefits of the scheme are available only to those farmers who have cultivable land in their name. The government has made the verification of land records mandatory to ensure that the benefits are being received only by genuine landholder farmers. If there is any error in your land records, or they have not been verified yet, your installment may be stopped.

Bank account and Aadhaar not linked

In PM Kisan Yojana, money is sent directly to the beneficiary’s bank account. For this, it is mandatory that your bank account is linked to your Aadhaar number. Also, your name in the bank account and Aadhaar card should be the same.

Be careful while entering information

While applying or updating your profile, enter information like bank account number, IFSC code, name, address etc. correctly. Any small mistake can stop the payment. In such a situation, double-check all your information on the PM Kisan portal.
