The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is one of the schemes launched by the central government that has provided direct financial assistance to millions of farmers across the country. This scheme aims to ease the expenses related to farming and provide a stable source of income for farmers. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of โน6000 every year, which is transferred directly to their bank accounts in three installments.

Eligibility is crucial to avail the benefits of the scheme. The farmer must have a record of cultivable land in their name and must be the actual owner of that land. In addition, linking the Aadhaar card to the bank account, completing the e-KYC process, and successful land verification are mandatory conditions. Any discrepancy in these processes may result in the installment being withheld or delayed.
Farmers often wonder if both a father and son, if they are both farming, can avail the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The scheme’s rules clearly state that a family is considered a single unit, and only one member from a family is eligible for the scheme’s benefits. If a father and son cultivate the same land and belong to a joint family, they will not both receive separate โน6000 amounts. The objective of the scheme is to assist as many families as possible, not to benefit multiple members of the same family.

Farmers are constantly asking questions about the 22nd installment. Under the scheme, installments are usually released at intervals of four months. Based on the timing of the previous installment, it is estimated that the 22nd installment may be credited to farmers’ accounts in February. However, the government has not yet announced the official date, but a clear announcement is expected soon.

Farmers can check the status of their installment on the official website pmkisan.gov.in. By entering their Aadhaar number, mobile number, or registration number through the ‘Know Your Status’ option available on the website, farmers can view complete payment-related information. This also allows them to find out why their installment is pending or whether the payment has been successful.
