New Delhi: The month of December is now in its final days. The new year is just 5 days away. The new year could prove to be a boon for central government employees, provident fund (PF) employees, and farmers alike. The central government may increase the instalment amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to Rs. 3,000.

Approximately 12 crore farmers are expected to benefit from this scheme. The central government may make this announcement while presenting the financial budget. The exact date for the budget presentation is not yet clear, but the general budget is likely to be presented on February 1, 2026.

How much will be received annually?

If the Modi government increases the instalment amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to Rs. 3,000 in the 2026 financial budget, it will prove to be a significant boost for farmers. The annual amount received will increase to Rs. 9,000.

Most farmers’organisationss in the country have been demanding an increase in the instalment amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana for quite some time. The government has not yet given its approval. A decision on this may be taken during the budget presentation on February 1, 2026. The date for the budget presentation is not yet finalised, but like in previous years, February 1st is considered the likely date.

How many instalments have been received so far?

The central government launched this scheme to help farmers. So far, 21 iinstalmentsof Rs. 2,000 each have been transferred under this scheme. Now, all farmers are eagerly awaiting the next, i.e., the 22nd installment.
