Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme from Varanasi today. This time, an amount of Rs 20,500 crore has been sent directly to the accounts of 9.7 crore farmers across the country through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). This scheme started in 2019. So far, more than Rs 3.69 lakh crore has reached farmers through 19 installments. Every year, farmers get Rs 6,000 in three equal installments.

  • Registration and assistance are available at more than 5 lakh CSCs.
  • Farmers can get instant information and solutions from the AI chatbot ‘Kisan-eMitra’.

How Farmers Can Update Their Information

The PM-KISAN scheme works fully on a digital platform. Farmers can update their information, check benefit status, and register complaints through the mobile app, web portal, AI chatbot, and Bhashini platform. The AI chatbot launched in 2023 quickly resolves complaints and provides information in local languages. Aadhaar-mobile linking is also available through the Department of Posts.
