Crop insurance compensation will be given only when the rules set for it are fully followed. The last date to join the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for Kharif crop is 31st July. Along with this, those who have paid the premium also have to complete some work before 31st. Before

Many times the weather spoils the entire hard work of the farmers. To provide financial help to farmers in times of such trouble, there is the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana of the Central Government. Under this scheme, crop insurance can be done by paying only 2 percent premium. If there is any loss due to any reason, then proper compensation can be received from the bank or the insurance company. However, there are some terms and conditions for this.

Farmers who have registered under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana must update their Aadhaar before 31 July. Farmers should go to the nearest branch of the bank or company from which they have taken the insurance policy and get their Aadhaar verified and updated. Keep in mind that if this work is not completed before 31 July, then if the crop is damaged due to any reason, it may be difficult to get compensation. The bank has clearly said that the insurance will not be valid until Aadhaar verification (Aadhaar eKYC) is done on the PM Fasal Bima portal.

If you want to change your insured crop in the Kharif season, then only a few days are left for that too. Farmers can make changes in their crops. However, the time for this work is only two days before the last date of application on 31st July. That is, this work has to be completed by 29th July at any cost.
