Find out your PF balance through SMS
Yes, if you don’t have your UAN number, you can still easily get information about your PF balance. For this, your UAN must be linked to your Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account. The good thing is that you can also check the balance in the language of your choice. If your KYC is completely updated, then you can know the balance even without a UAN number.

EPFOHO UAN LAN (here LAN means the first three letters of your preferred language, like HIN for Hindi, ENG for English).

You will get your PF balance details via SMS in a short while.
One missed call and you will get complete PF details.
If, for some reason, you are unable to check your PF balance via SMS, you can also get the details via a missed call. To get the details via a missed call, you will have to give a missed call to 99660444425 from your registered mobile number. The call will be disconnected automatically, and after some time, you will receive an SMS on your phone with the balance details related to your PF account. However, this information will be available only when your UAN is linked to your bank account, Aadhaar, and PAN.
Importance of UAN and KYC
If you are checking PF balance from home through missed call or SMS, then it is very important that your UAN number is linked to Aadhaar or PAN, and it is also activated. If you do not know your UAN number, you can also get it from your salary slip. If you have a UAN, you can also download the PF passbook from the EPFO app or website and see full details of the deposit amount.

Process to check PF balance through the UMANG App:
First of all, you have to download the UMANG App from the Play Store.
Then select EPFO Service.
Go to Employee Centric Services and click on ‘View Passbook’ here.
After this, enter your UAN. Enter your UAN number.
You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile. Enter it.
After entering the OTP, you can view or save your PF passbook by clicking on the download option.
