Mahindra SUV: Mahindra has again displayed its firm hold on Indian roads. In June 2025, the firm sold more than 47,000 SUVs within 30 days, taking its competitors by surprise with its speed. Demand for Mahindra’s passenger and utility vehicles has driven its year-on-year sales growth higher by a strong 18%, which indicates how popular its SUVs are among Indian buyers.
Passenger Vehicles: UVs Continue to Shine
Passenger vehicle demand continued to be optimistic for Mahindra. XUV 3XO, Bolero, Scorpio-N, and Thar have been leading record success for the brand. Mahindra sold 47,306 passenger vehicles in June alone, versus 40,022 in June a year ago, up by 18%. If we look at April to June 2025, Mahindra sold 1,52,067 SUVs, a whopping 22% increase over last year.
Electric SUV Segment Boost
Mahindra’s electric lineup has also picked up pace. New launches like BE.6 and XEV 9e are aiding Mahindra in growing its EV lineup in India. With customers looking at more electric options, these models will also support Mahindra’s future figures.
Commercial Vehicle Performance
Commercial vehicles delivered a divided set of results for Mahindra in June. Light commercial vehicles below 2 tons experienced sales decline by 20%. However, 2T to 3.5T segment registered 4% increase, and over 3.5T segment registered a mild 1% growth. Mahindra’s three-wheeler business performed exceptionally well with a robust 37% growth, indicating the way demand in last-mile transportation is picking up.
Exports Also On a Strong Track
Mahindra’s exports also experienced good momentum. It exported 2,634 units of vehicles in June, up just 1% from the previous year. Still, if one considers the quarter as a whole, the exports rose 36% to 9,667 units. This indicates Mahindra’s increasing presence in overseas markets, supported by its strong portfolio.
Tractor Sales Push Growth in Rural Market
Mahindra tractor business posted robust numbers in June. Local tractor sales reached 51,769 units, up 13% compared to last year. If total tractor division sales, including exports, are considered, Mahindra sold 53,393 units out of which 1,623 units were exported. YTD figures indicate a 10% increase in tractor sales, which reflects Mahindra’s strong rural India and farmer relationship.
Strong Product Mix and Rural Focus
Mahindra’s emphasis on broad product portfolio, rural reach, and new EV launches are paying off. With a lineup spanning SUVs, commercial vehicles, and tractors, Mahindra has established a strong presence that resonates with both urban and rural customers. Its aggressive foray into electric vehicles will probably maintain this momentum in months ahead.
