Life certificate for pensioners: The Central Government and State Governments have issued a new announcement for pensioners. This announcement clearly instructs pensioners to submit their life certificates at least once a year. Failure to do so will result in their pension being stopped. The government has also simplified the process for submitting life certificates.
Life certificates can be submitted both online and offline. Those over 80 years of age should especially ensure this process is completed. Pensioners who are seriously ill can benefit from this government facility.
Submit life certificates by this date
Pensioners under the Central Government and State Governments should submit their life certificates between November 1st and November 30th to ensure their pension is not interrupted. The deadline for submitting life certificates for pensioners over 80 years of age began on October 1st. The government has granted pensioners additional time. If they fail to submit their life certificate within these dates, their pension will be suspended.
Learn about the offline method
If you are unable to submit your life certificate digitally, you can obtain it from a nearby bank branch, post office, or common service center. If the pensioner is ill, they can obtain it through a bank or post office.

Pensioners can also submit their life certificate online. They can use the Umang app. This requires entering your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and pension account information and submitting biometric verification.
