PAN card will not be made without Aadhaar

People who do not have a PAN card, now they will have to apply under the new rules to get a PAN card. Let us tell you that the rules of PAN card have been changed by the Government of India. After July 1, 2025, those who apply for a PAN card will not be able to apply without an Aadhaar card. That is, if you do not have an Aadhaar card.

So first you have to get an Aadhaar card. Only after that you will be able to apply for a PAN card. Along with this, the government has also given this instruction to the existing PAN card holders. Everyone should get their PAN linked to Aadhaar by 31 December 2025. If this is not done then their PAN card will become inactive from 1 January 2026. Due to which very important work can stop.

Step-by-step process

  • First of all go to the official website of Income Tax www.incometax.gov.in .
  • Go to the ‘Instant e-PAN’ section on the homepage and click on ‘Get New e-PAN’.
  • Now enter your Aadhaar number. Keep in mind that it is necessary to have a mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
  • Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile and verify.
  • All the details of Aadhaar like name, date of birth and address will be filled automatically. After this you just click ‘Submit’.
  • If the information is correct, your e-PAN will be generated immediately.
  • PAN number and other information will be sent to your mobile and email.
  • If you want, you can download e-PAN in PDF format from the website.
  • If you want to get the physical card delivered at home, you will have to pay Rs 107 online. The card will be delivered by post within 15 to 30 days.
