From April 1, you will not have to provide your PAN when purchasing a bike or car valued at up to Rs 5 lakh.
It will no longer be necessary to provide PAN for property transactions up to Rs 20 lakh.
These individuals will find their PAN inactive.
Ensure that the name on your PAN matches that on your Aadhaar. If there is a discrepancy, your PAN card may be blocked by the government, which could complicate refund claims. Additionally, a higher TDS may be deducted.

The rules regarding the name are also changing. The rules regarding name on PAN card are also going to change from April 1, 2026. According to the new rule, the name printed on the PAN card will now be the same as the name printed on the applicant’s Aadhaar card. Therefore, if the name in your Aadhaar card is wrong or the spelling is incorrect, get it corrected.
Old forms will be discontinued
The forms currently being used for making PAN card will not be used from April 1, 2026.
From April 1, 2026, the old PAN card form will no longer be available and a new form will be issued.
Even a new form will be issued for updating the PAN card.
