Ration Card KYC: There is a big update revealed regarding Ration Card KYC. For the last 10 months, the process of e-KYC has been going on to verify the units registered on the ration card. Which will continue till 30 April. In which 23.17 lakh units registered in 5.98 lakh ration cards of the district were to be verified. So far, verification of 18.13 lakh units has been completed. While there are 5.57 lakh units whose verification is still pending. It does not seem possible to complete it in just 12 days.
The verification of units registered on ration cards started in June 2024. In which 2,317,410 units registered on 598,924 ration cards of the district were to be verified. Sometimes due to ration distribution and sometimes due to server problems, the e-KYC to be completed in the month of October has not been completed yet.
The deadline was extended six times
The government has extended the deadline for completing eKYC six times and has instructed us to complete it by April 30. But looking at the current progress, e-KYC of 557,481 ration cards is still pending. That is, looking at the current situation, verification of 23.51 percent of ration cards is to be done in the remaining 12 days. Which will not be easy by any means.
The special thing is that due to the distribution day not being affected, the work of e-KYC remains closed on the said dates. The monthly ration is yet to be distributed in the district till 25 April. Only after which the process of e-KYC will be completed. That means 5.57 lakh units will have to be verified in five days. Which does not seem easy in any case.
On the other hand, the supply department believes that the verification will continue till it is complete. That is, considering the possibility of extension of the last date, the work is going on at an even slower pace. District Supply Officer Raj Bahadur Singh said that right now there are instructions to complete the verification process only by April 30. The situation will become clear only after new instructions come.
