Who will be banned by the new law?

After the implementation of this law, all online money games, whether based on skill or luck, have been banned.

This will also include online fantasy sports and lotteries.

Ads, promotions and transactions related to such games through banks or payment apps are also banned.

According to a report, India’s prominent online gaming companies, such as Dream11’s parent company Dream Sports, Gameskraft, Mobile Premier League, and Probo, have recently started discontinuing real-money games available to their users. This step has been taken after the Online Gaming Bill 2025 was passed in Parliament. According to this law, any game in which the player deposits money and has the possibility of winning will be considered illegal.
