UPI Payments Offline: Nowadays, everyone is making online transactions. UPI deserves credit for this. UPI has revolutionized the country’s market. It has made digital payments so easy that many people no longer need to carry cash. However, despite its widespread adoption, UPI transactions sometimes fail due to poor network connectivity or temporary bank service outages. Make UPI Payments Offline

Before making an offline UPI payment, you must register your mobile number with your bank. To do this, ensure your number is linked to your bank account and set a UPI PIN using the bank’s app or website.

The number for making offline UPI payments is *99#. Typing this into your smartphone dialer will open a menu. This will allow you to use the UPI service even without a network connection.

Select the desired bank account and choose the transaction type.

To send the money, you’ll need to enter the recipient’s mobile number, UPI or bank account details, and IFSC code.

Once done, enter the amount you’re planning to send. Then, type in the UPI PIN.

Note that the maximum transaction limit is ₹5,000, with a fee of ₹0.50 per transaction. This feature is available for up to 24 hours. It can be used even on holidays and works on all telecom networks and mobile handsets.
