Changes in the rules for credit cards
It is believed that there will be a big change in the rules of SBI credit cards. It is going to be implemented from the 1st of September. Under this, LifestyleCentrer SBI Card, Lifestyle Home Centre, SBI Card Select and Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card Prime holders have announced a cut in the benefits. Work is being done to eliminate SBI Reward Points available on some transactions.
Reward points will not be available on these.
Many big changes are expected to happen on September 1, 2025. SBI Card will no longer give any rewards on any transactions made on online gaming platforms through credit cards.
Not only this, if the customer makes any kind of government transaction or transaction for the use of government services, then no reward points can be given on such expenses. Along with this, it has also been made clear by the bank in the notice that a similar rule will be implemented on merchant transactions as well.
From the coming month itself, from September 2025, all CPP SBI card customers will be able to automatically transfer to the updated plan variant based on their respective renewal date.
