My Scheme Portal: The government runs different schemes for more than 140 billion people living in India. But, how can you find out which scheme you can avail? For this, there is a portal called ‘My Scheme’. Through this portal, you can find out which government scheme will be best for you in a few easy steps. The government has a total of more than 3400 schemes, out of which more than 540 schemes are of the central government, while more than 2850 schemes are given by the Union Territories to different state governments.
You can avail of these schemes in a total of 15 categories

Easy steps to choose a government scheme according to your need
First of all go to the ‘Meri Yojana’ portal (myscheme.gov.in portal) and choose Hindi or English language on it. After this click on ‘Find Schemes for You’.
Here you will be asked about your gender and age. Enter the correct details. Along with this, your marital status will also be asked on this page.
After this you will have to give information about your state and also tell whether you are from the city or village.On the next page you will be asked about your caste.
Then you will be asked whether you are disabled, whether you are a minority. After this you will be asked whether you are a student? If yes, then schemes for students will come and if not, then you have to tell whether you are an employee, unemployed or do you have a business?
What is your work and whether you are BPL (below poverty line), this has to be filled. Along with this, information about family income has to be given.
After entering all this information, on the page that opens, you will get information about the schemes for which you are eligible.
