On one hand, the havoc of monsoon continues in Himachal Pradesh. Due to cloudbursts, heavy rains, and landslides, life has been completely disrupted, there has been huge devastation in many districts, and the economy of the state has been shaken. On the other hand, in the midst of the disaster, the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government has made a huge increase in the honorarium and allowances of the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Public Sector Undertakings, i.e., the Corporation Board. While this decision has surprised some people, the government says that this is a necessary step.
Bumper increase of ₹ 50,000 in honorarium
The Finance Department has also issued orders in this regard. The state government has increased the honorarium of the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Corporation and Boards by ₹ 50 thousand. Now they will get an honorarium of ₹ 80 thousand per month. Earlier, the chairman and vice chairman used to get an honorarium of ₹ 30 thousand. Apart from the honorarium, their allowances have also been increased significantly, which will lead to a significant jump in their total monthly income.
How much salary allowance will be given now
This new decision of the state government will significantly increase the monthly income of the chairmen and vice chairmen. The honorarium of the chairman and vice chairman of corporations and boards has been increased from ₹ 30 thousand to ₹ 80 thousand per month.

Other allowances:
House Rent Allowance (HRA): ₹25 thousand per month
Hospitality Allowance: ₹3,500 per month
Vehicle Allowance: ₹2,500 per month
Telephone Allowance: ₹900 per month
While earlier the Chairman and Vice Chairman used to get ₹30 thousand honorarium, ₹250 daily allowance within the state, and ₹400 outside, now each Chairman and Vice Chairman will get ₹1.11 lakh per month.
Note: The Finance Department of the State Government has changed the norms and has issued instructions to all Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments in this regard. The cost of a landline phone will be refunded on the basis of actual expenditure as per the guidelines of the Finance Department.
Whose honorarium increased recently
It is important to mention that at the end of June, the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government of the state also increased the honorarium of Multipurpose Workers, Water Guards, Para Pump Operators, and Parafitters. Honorarium of Multipurpose Workers increased by ₹500. Now they will get ₹5,500 instead of ₹5,000. Honorarium of Water Guards, Para
