PM Matru Vandana Yojana New Update: The Government of India runs many schemes for women to earn income. One of the schemes is called Matru Vandana Yojana which offers pregnant women ₹11,000. The Ministry of Women and Child Development implements it.
As with other governmental programs that stem from women’s empowerment, the scheme aims to enhance maternal and child health and nutrition, while the funds encapsulated in the program are paid to women’s bank accounts through a direct benefit transfer (DBT) mode of payment.
What is the Matru Vandana Yojana?
Under the Matru Vandana Yojana, the Government of India provides a payment of ₹5,000 to women after the birth of their first child. This amount is provided in three different parts. In addition, after the birth of the second girl child, a payment of ₹6,000 is provided.
As part of ease of living, Ministry of Women and Child Development is reaching to the prospective beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (#PMMVY). By leveraging the #PoshanTracker, we’re reaching out to pregnant & lactating mothers…
